EXPERIENCE

Stephanie Berman Schneider is the managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. Before joining the firm in 1995, Ms. Berman Schneider acquired experience working for two insurance litigation firms. She was fortunate to be mentored by a female partner who taught her the art of persuasive legal writing. Now, more than 25 years into her legal career, Ms. Berman Schneider continues to utilize these writing skills and mentors junior attorneys at the firm.

Ms. Berman Schneider’s practice is devoted to general and professional liability, with an emphasis on legal and medical malpractice defense, premises liability, construction site accidents, defense of repossession and fair debt collection practices actions, assault and battery, personal injury, emotional distress and breach of contract and fraud.

Ms. Berman Schneider has substantial experience defending medical spas throughout the state of California. Her article about risk management concepts for medical spas was published in 2010 in the Spa Management Journal.

Ms. Berman Schneider has defended repossession cases including wrongful repossession claims, violation of the state and federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts, assault and battery, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, conversion, trespass and general negligence. She has been a frequent presenter at state and national repossession association meetings, with an emphasis on risk management in the repossession industry. She has also been a contributor to repossession publications.

Ms. Berman Schneider is actively involved in the community, serving as Chief Financial Officer for the Balboa Magnet Elementary School’s Spirit Club. She has overseen the Spirit Club’s major fundraising campaign for the past five years. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Santa Monica Girls Fastpitch Softball League, of which she is presently Vice President. She is married to attorney Spencer Schneider. They have two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading and baking.
